The Potato Truck Pull Fundraiser Event was started in 2015 by Jamie & Amy Smart to support Pediatric & Adult Cancer Care Manitoba Research.

In 2011, Jamie & Amy’s son, Dawson, was diagnosed with a Wilm’s Tumor, a form of childhood kidney cancer. At the young age of 14 months Dawson underwent multiple surgeries, 15 rounds of chemo and a week of radiation. In November 2011, Dawson completed his last chemo treatment and went on to complete a 5 year follow up program at Cancer Care Manitoba. Dawson has been CANCER FREE since and is a happy & healthy 12-year-old!

The Potato Truck Pull Fundraiser is a fun filled event in which teams of 10 participants compete to pull a potato truck 80 feet in the fastest time. The Fundraising Event raises money through Corporate and personal donations & from purchases made through the online store! 100% of all donations and dollars raised are directed to the Pediatric & Adult research division at Cancer Care Manitoba!

Our Fundraising event has grown to be one of the largest in Manitoba for Cancer Care Manitoba! Our 6-year Grand total raised for Cancer Care Manitoba is $659, 818.52!!!

This year the Potato Truck Pull Fundraising Event will be held on Sunday, July 3^rd at 2:30 at the Carberry Fair in Carberry, Manitoba.
